LGBT* Program

Sexuality Education Resource Centre (SERC) Manitoba offers affirming and supportive programming for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans*, Two-Spirit, Queer, Intersex, and Asexual (LGBT2SQIA) individuals, families, and friends in Western Manitoba. 

SERC Brandon's LGBT* Program supports our community by

  • Providing LGBT* awareness & support education, training, consultation, and outreach
  • Developing and hosting LGBT*  programming (activities, groups, events, etc.)
  • Hosting an online and in-person LGBT* resource library
  • Offering consultation services with a variety of communities & organizations
  • Supporting LGBT* communities and events 
  • Offering LGBT* counselling & support

Learning Opportunities

Our core LGBT* Awareness and Support workshops or presentations explore:

  • LGBT2SQIA identities
  • sexual orientation
  • gender identity & expression
  • identifing and interruptting homophobia, biphobia, lesbophobia, transphobia, heterosexism and cissexism
  • intersectionality & systems of oppression
  • supporting & advocating for LGBT2SQIA individuals, families, and communities
