The Immigrant Women's Action Against Violence (IWAAV) Evaluation Project

 

The goal of the IWAAV evaluation was to explore “best practices” needed in educating immigrant women and their communities in domestic violence. The link leads you to a description of the process involved in conducting the evaluation as well as the main findings from the study.

The evaluation was funded by the Prairie Centre of Excellence for Research on Immigration and Integration and the Margaret Laurence Endowment Fund.

Ethno-Racial Minority Youth (ERMY): Community-Based Research Project on Sexuality, Intergenerational and Intercultural Issues

 

This community-based research project is aimed at involving first and second generation immigrant youth in all the steps of research addressing sexuality, intergenerational and intercultural issues.

This three-year project is funded by the Multiculturalism Program of Canadian Heritage.

Strengthening Families in Canada: Immigrant Men's Needs Assessment on Family Violence Prevention Education

 

The goal of the Immigrant Men's Needs Assessment was to develop an understanding of how family violence is perceived by immigrant and refugee men in the community and to determine the best way to deliver culturally appropriate community education and public awareness on the issue of family violence for immigrant and refugee men. 

This project was funded by the Community Mobilization Program, National Crime Prevention Strategy.
